Integrity

Integrity is the state of being whole, entire, or undiminished. Today’s tidbit invites you into dialogue with the deepest truth of your being.

How often do your choices, actions, and words align with your beliefs, values and vision for your life?
Are you in integrity with yourself?

I’d like to invite you into a deep awareness of personal beliefs, values and vision – and then into choices that match this deep truth. Why? Because being “in integrity” with our truth, even when it is “the road less traveled”, feels good, empowering, clear. When integrity is absent, when our doing doesn’t match our being, life can be hard and feel heavy.

In what ways are you “out of integrity”?
What habits or activities don’t line up with who you are now?
What step will you take today to move toward greater integrity with yourself?

Museum of Childhood

Museum of Childhood From the Royal Mile in Scotland, the Museum of Childhood

Take a moment. Travel back in time to your childhood. What are you aware of? Notice what was part of your childhood, what was possible in your experience. Notice also what seemed out of reach. Revisit people and places, sights and sounds, colors and emotions, activities and creativity, play and growth, pain and joy.

What memories need healing?
What from your childhood would enhance your life now?

What would support you in visiting your museum?

That “Glow”

It has been almost two weeks since I returned from Scotland. I’ve been asked often about the trip – and as often: “Is the glow still with you?” The glow, the feelings, the learning, the intentions that I brought back from that powerful experience, “Are they still with me?”

Well, I have watched them be present and be forgotten. And I have brought them back into my awareness. Yes, they are still with me. This trip was a huge confirmation of my path at this stage in my life, a confirmation that I have worked hard, done so much, and “get to”: Continue reading “That “Glow””

From Scotland – Experience “it” differently

Today, I decided to “experience the concert” rather than listen to it. For me that meant to close my eye, get physically still in a meditation posture, and listen. Over and over I let go of intellect, which for me is analyzing the music, and without the visual, let myself breathe deeply and really listen… To the music, and to the physical sensations of my body as the sounds filled St. Gile’s Cathedral in Edinburgh:

What activity might you experience differently next time? What if you released:

– sight while you ate

– hearing while in a room full of people

– your own thoughts while witnessing a conversation

– ???

What will you notice for the first time?

What magic comes from less distraction?

On the way – another bit

On the plane in Amsterdam bound for Edinburgh. Each step of the way, I realize how little I know and how much I can learn and be curious about. And, I have learned that people will help with a smile if I but ask. And people are people wherever I go… Babies smile, crawl and by their very nature avert our eyes toward them. So much joy to behold!

I am in awe of the many who speak multiple languages and who help me be comfortable in a foreign country by speaking mine. So very blessed am I!

What is here in me now? Hmm… I am back with you. Is this where I choose to be?
